Pastor's Biography
Greg L. Henderson, Jr. serves as the Founding Pastor/Teacher of Celestial Christian Church, located in Terre Haute, IN. Prior to the Lord leading him to establish CCC, he faithfully served at Oasis of Hope Christian Church (formerly Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, Detroit, MI ) as an Associate Minister, under the care and tutelage of Pastor Claude A. May (his Spiritual Father & Mentor). Upon arriving in Terre Haute, IN during the fall of 2008, Pastor Henderson was led to St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he faithfully served as Assistant Pastor until the Lord decided it was time to turn the vision of CCC into a reality.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Pastor Henderson received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Central Michigan University. He has received his Master of Divinity (MDiv.) from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology (Minneapolis, MN), and is near completion of his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.).
Greg Henderson, Jr. accepted his call to the preaching ministry at the age of 28 and his pastoral ministry at 31. Pastor Henderson is a highly anointed, dynamic Man of God, who has a passion to see individuals realize their full potential in Christ, enabling them to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually by “Standing on the Word!” God has favored him with the ability to reach all age groups, ethnicities, and backgrounds with his practical style of preaching/teaching the Word of God.
He is married to the lovely Tam D. Henderson, his best friend and college sweetheart. God has blessed them with four beautiful children, three sons: Jalen, Cameron & Braylon; and a daughter: Paityn.
